During the 2019 Bronner Bros. International Hair Show, we had the privilege of being wowed by “hair entertainer” Dvvid Torrey.
Dvvid Torrey, also known as Chris, is originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina but is now mastering his craft in Dallas, Texas. Chris considers himself a rare breed of a stylists. He is not only a great stylist, he is a hair entertainer who can not only master the art of styling hair but also master the art of creating a show- stopping performance while doing hair.
The artistic soul can be found “hairtaining” (we just made that word up!!!) all over the country. After his jaw dropping performance during the cut party hosted by master stylist Kevin Kirk, he channeled 5th Element during the salon battle at the Bronner Bros. show in ATL. While Kevin announced Dvvid Torrey as the upcoming stylist to watch; Chris is not new to the game, he is true to it. You can find him channeling Batman, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Wiz, and other childhood favorites. He will be starring in the infamous hair battle, “Boys Don’t Play with Dolls” on October 13, in Desto, Texas.
Chris can often be heard advising the masses, “I am the baddest.” According to the accolades and awards he is racking up, he is proving to be just that by simply turning pain into productivity.
