I flew in early Saturday morning from Los Angeles for an opportunity of a life time. I sat down with the employees from the Dallas office of L.A. VIBE for a staff meeting to discuss the weekend’s coverage of the Texas Takeover. We weren’t sure what to expect. Well, honestly, we prepared for Mr. Curtis Jackson, the king of clap back's. The king is notoriously known for starting and finishing stuff. What a pleasant surprise we encountered covering 50 Cent over the weekend (and he smells wonderful too!!!)
Curtis took Dallas by storm introducing his new line of liquor. According to the sales and the responses we captured during the coverage, his new Le Chemin du Roi champagne called “The King” and VSOP cognac called “Branson” are already a hit and crafted with longevity in mind. 50 is known in the industry for being wise in his business endeavors and spent a great deal of personal energy to ensure his brand would be represented well.
The staff witnessed Mr. Jackson single-handily shift the economy at certain events. His fans were here for it! For the love of the people, many of the stops were free for fans and he took the time to take pictures and autograph bottles. Very different from I expected, I experienced Curtis- the gentleman, the man with the million-dollar smile who personally ensured I had my own personal bottle of Le Chemin du Roi at multiple events.
