Forward Glory Johnson is a Colorado Springs native who has played professionally since 2012.
Forward Azura Stevens has started her professional career in 2012 playing for the Dallas Wings. At 6.6 feet tall, Stevens is easily one of the taller girls.
Kaela Davis was a college player with the University of South Carolina and Georgia Tech before signing up with the Dallas Wings. The small forward and shooting guard joined the team in 2017.
Kayla Thornton has been a forward with the Dallas Wings since 2017. Before that she played with the Washington Mystics and the Cheongju KB Stars. Thornton was the WKBL Most Valuable Player in 2019.

Arike Ogunbowale was the Most Outstanding Player at the Notre Dame 2018 title run where her performance stood out. Ogunbowale was on Dancing with the Stars in 2018.
Megan Gustafson is the newest player to be contracted to join the Dallas Wings. Gustafson is from Wisconsin. She had recently been declared the Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player. Gustafson was let go before she was signed on again.
Moriah Jefferson was drafted in May 2019 from the San Antonio Stars. Jefferson has bagged the Nancy Lieberman award for being the leading Point guard. She was born in Texas and played for the University of Connecticut before joining the WNBA.
Isabelle Harrison is the daughter of an NFL player Dennis Harrison Jr. Her position is Center. Harrison played with the Phoenix Mercury, San Antonio Stars, and Las Vegas Aces before joining the Dallas Wings. She has been in the WNBA since 2016.
Multi award winning basketball player Imani Trishawn McGee Stafford is 6ft 7in. She has played professionally since 2016; with the Chicago Sky, Bnot Herziliya, Atlanta Dream, Beijing Great Wall, Liaoning Flying Eagles, and the Dallas Wings since 2019. The Center is an alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin.
Some of the most famous Dallas Wings players were the all-time leading scorer Katie Smith, International player Deana Nolan, Australian Liz Cambage, Cheryl Ford, and Odyssey Sims of the Minnesota Lynx.
Liz Cambage just left the team this year in a negotiated trade.
History
The Dallas Wings is a professional women's basketball team that was established in 1998. The team's home base is in the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
The team as named the Dallas Wings in 2015 when it moved to the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
Before that, it was called the Tulsa Shocks between 2010 and 2015 when they played in Oklahoma. The team was moved to Tulsa as part of an effort to expand the WNBA.
Between 1998 and 2009, the team played as the Detroit Shocks. The Shocks were first coached by Nancy Lieberman, then Greg Williams and finally Bill Laimbeer. Laimbeer talked the owners out of closing the team after a terrible season. The team shocked everyone by moving from last place to becoming WNBA champions within one season. The team won the WNBA finals in 2006 and 2008. In 2007 they made it to the finals but lost the game to the Phoenix Mercury. Bill Laimbeer now coaches the Las Vegas Aces.
The Wings are part of the Western wing of the Women's National Basketball Association.
Ownership
Bill Cameron chairs the group that owns the team. Investor Greg Bibb is both Chairman and CEO of the team. Cameron is the majority owner.
In March this year, Brad Hilsabeck bought Mark Yancey shares and became a new owner.
The other owners are Chris Christian and the University of Texas in Arlington.
Hilsabeck is a retired CEO of an investment company who grew up playing basketball.
Logo
WNBA logos tend to resemble their NBA counterparts. Dallas Wings do compliment the Dallas Mavericks. The Dallas Mavericks logo is also a horse.
The team logo of the Dallas Wings is a colorful rendition of Pegasus - a horse with wings that could fly. The horse is painted in the team colors which are cyan, volt green, and navy.
Coach
Brian Agler is the head coach in charge of the team and he has two assistant coaches under him. He won the WNBA coach of the year award in 2010 and he has won the championship twice.
Besides the Dallas Wings, Brian Agler has coached by two other professional basketball teams. He coached the Los Angeles from 2015-2018 and the Seattle Storm for 2008-2014.
Agler's stint at the Dallas Wings started in December 2018. During his 30-year coaching career, Brian Agler has been a WNBA coach for 30 years.
The 60-year-old is the only one who has won the championship with two separate teams.
Erin Phillips and Crystal Robinson are the assistant coaches. Allison Russell and Danny Wardell are the head athletic trainer and strength and conditioning coach respectively.
Erin Phillips is an Australian and a former professional basketball player. Robinson formerly played for the Washington Mystics. In 2018, she was an assistant coach to the Seattle Storm.
