2019 Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show

The Bronner Bros. has been family owned since 1947 and remains to be influential in the beauty and fashion industry by being relevant, through service, and keeping the time and pulse of the communities whom use their products. Atlanta was the host city for the nation’s largest and best multicultural beauty show, the 2019 Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show. Over the course of 3 days and two nights, barbers, stylists, licensed professionals, students, direct descendants of Saartjie Baartman, the kids, media, and beauty/fashion fanatics gathered at the Georgia World Congress Center. Whatever your flavor, you could surely find it on the floor!

The last three days have been the equivalent of letting a 3-year-old run rampant in a candy store alone for L.A. Vibe. It was so much to see, so much we could report. It’s hard to blog about such a massive event but here are some of the highlights of the weekend that stood out because of hospitality, presentation, customer service, or it was just down right cute:

We don’t know whose decision it was to strategically place Tricia, a Cosmetologist from Envisions Salons, but do it again!!! She was the first person who greeted us with Southern hospitality when we floated through the door. When we told her who we were, she humbly declined to elevate herself, but instead asked that we give her boss a shout out. Camilla Renay Terrell, shout girl!!!!!!

Any nail tech that can spray an ATL version of Sponge Bob on a nail with a rainbow Mohawk will get our attention! Rachel Odom is a Chicago native who relocated to Atlanta and the master artist behind Nails by Raybaby. Listen, if you are in the Atlanta area, please check her out. She gave us a whole interview and never stopped filing and styling! She BAD BAD!!!

Nails by Raybaby: Atlanta, GA

There was plenty of merchandise for the little fashionistas but there was one tyke shop that caught our attention. We stopped at the booth of Lil Leaders Initiative which is owned an operated by a husband and wife team. The company, which is 100% black owned, was created from their love for our children and the desire to build their confidence, self-esteem, and knowledge of self.

When your entire company is owned and operated by women who are models, there are certain things that are catching to the eye. On the way out the door, we caught a glimpse of glitter lipstick and we took off! We had the opportunity to meet the wonderful, beautiful owner of Forbesbeauty Cosmetics. We tried to wipe the table, twice! Listen ladies, check out her website. The Sea Queen Purple and The Treasure Brown are popping!
